I haven't done a good proper blog post in eons

and my blog is beginning to sound gross, typical, eww. ): I'm just losing the ability to type. Maybe I'm also losing the ability to feel and emote well. Or it's probably just because the days are becoming eventful.

Feeling moody today. Something's bugging me, I don't know what, but there's just this nagging moodiness I can't get rid of. Maddie didn't come over in the end.

Today I was a silent, sleepy anti-social. I think I'm moving out of my anti-social shell and my ACJC friends can't tell I'm actually quiet two-thirds of the time (but my personality test reveals it all - I'm one of the few who got I for Introvert). I don't want to be quiet, either. I've learnt that I have to work to get what I want instead of sitting in a corner and moodily mull over my lack of friends or how I'm not friends with the kind I'd like to be close to. I've always hated being unable to think of anything to talk about when I'm with someone.

That being said, I definitely can't stand incessant, insensitive chatterboxes who don't know their limits either.

Was thinking of playing Save The Planet games on Facebook - maybe doing the Earth a favour might help me feel better - but I'm going to watch 2012 on the big screen in my house with my family now. Guess it'll be a depressing night.

What love.

Sometimes people make big mistakes. Sometimes I make small ones that others mightn't even realise were mistakes but leave me feeling thoroughly humiliated.

Feel like arguing back because I see no way in which I was wrong, but forget it. I'll just let it pass and take the blame but seriously, I don't see how I aggravated anything in any way.

Feel like such a cowardly stalker reading people's older blog posts. I always find old blog posts fascinating.

Right, Vday in school. All the photos are up on Facebook HERE!

Yeah I think the whole world knows that the day before Friday I only had half an hour of sleep because of my stupid gift-preparing. But I'm quite proud of my gifts.
I gave Cheryl hers after her Mass PE and she went "Ohh woah! Thank you! Can I hug you? Oh no you don't want to hug me no no" but I really wouldn't have minded! I hug sweaty people all the time.

There were balloooonnnnsssss...

and the singing part of the CNY celebrations was hilarious.

I was falling asleep standing up on the train - thanks to having only had half an hour of sleep - and in a mildly negative mood on the way to church. Walked, half asleep, all the way to Hall One at Expo. Once I reached the hall and heard the church singing, though, I couldn't help smiling. And once I went in and found a seat and sang I felt, once again, the power of God surge through me. Felt like crying as I prayed in Tongues. God works in small but awesome ways. Couldn't really concentrate much on Pastor's message even though it was great, however; my mind wasn't really working. But I love church. Wish I could go every week.
The balloons were pretty pathetic-looking by the time I gave them to Maddie and Jan ):

Sorry

Ah I'm sorry I haven't posted in two whole days, I've been far too busy with Valentine's day gifts and yesterday I was spending an eternity organising and printing out 1AH's contact list while adding everyone on Facebook.

I said I'd bake cookies for all my friends and the entire OG and stuff but I can't. Mum's feeling sick and I can barely crack an egg without Mum's help. So I bought half a kilo of cookies. I'm spending so much time on my OGLs' gifts. And I've wasted a lot of glitter glue on them too because I keep redoing their names. My dustbin is now full of glitter-covered tissues. I feel bad for wasting trees ):

So much to update, hardly any time at all, and thus these two days will probably become a little void in my memory as time passes. The reason it's essential for me to blog and take pictures is because my memory's terrible and if I don't record an experience or thought down I probably will forget all about it.

Okay... just so I'll remember, yesterday Amelia finally came back to school and saw her classmates for the first time. And I had less than two hours' sleep because I was selecting photos to print for my OG mates but now I'm not even printing them so I could have slept at least an hour more. I'm seriously considering not applying for the Humanities scholarship because I don't want to do that bloody essay on a controversial issue the world is facing. Right now my table's cluttered with coloured paper, small-sized photos, glitter glue and photo frames for my OGLs. I haven't even gotten around to writing my messages yet. I've got 13 cards to do... It's 1am.

Mengyi has just become a confirmed H1N1 case. And half of Singapore has falling sick these past few weeks. I bet at least three-quarters had H1N1 without knowing. Janice, Amelia, Ching Sheng and apparently a lot of OGLs were very sick for a few days and had very high temperatures. I'm betting almost everyone got it.
But so what, really. H1N1's just a name. It's a type of flu.

Not long ago, I had long hair.

(from my post on 22nd Jan.)
I need to stop blogging and go to bed.

Nooohohohoo, I know it sounds like I like someone but I really don't. I really don't like / have feelings towards / have interest in anyone right now. Really. And I know that no matter what I don't want to get into a relationship until A Levels are over. Screw the people who say "I wanna go to JC and find a pretty girlfriend!" JC = hardcore mugging for A Levels!!! It concerns our university education for goodness' sake.
...I just hope my heart will stay this strong. My heart falters.

Oh yes and

Today when half of 1AH was hanging out at the bleachers, Sheena dropped her bag that had her water bottle in it. You know, the cylindrical plastic kind. It was only later that we realised there was a hole at the bottom and it was leaking horribly, so Sheena panicked and threw it into the dustbin, stood at the top of the bleachers and tried to dry her skirt, walked towards the void deck, decided to turn back and FELL DOWN.

Ultimate.

-
Very interesting... if only I knew you too.
Why do the pretty ones get it all?

Too lazy to write essay for scholarship application lah

Guin: Eh don't you think Andrew Fok and Eudea will look cute together? Both got brown hair! Eudea, go and make friends with him lah :D

How cool's that, hahaha. ELL's beginning to seem really fun. Really fun. I'm so glad I'm one of the 55 who passed the test and made it in.

On the first day of school I followed my mother's wrong directions and ended up late. Since then Derrick and I have been meeting at Boon Lay MRT station every day to go to school together. I'm always later than him but we end up being on time for school. Today's the only day (apart from the first day) that Derrick didn't accompany me to school... and I was late again.
I guess I constantly need someone to pressurise me into being on time.

Yeah and thanks to being just a little late, I had to serve detention. Detention. Makes me sound like a rebel. I'm not ): I'm such a good kid.
Went for detention with Timothy and Eudea who were also late.
(Sleeping!!!)

Found it really funny when Eudea didn't understand something from her H2 Chem lecture notes and I was trying to explain it to her. I mean, I'm the one who isn't taking Chem and she's the Chem pro! (When I told her I wasn't taking Chem, she said "What, your talent's going to waste! I'm so mad at you! How could you not take Chem!" and I was like huh, my Chem? Talent?)

Eudea and I now have a certain dude to semi-obsess over. Quite funny.
"He's so cute! Just seeing him makes me happy, brightens my day" HAHA EUDZ

Reading your old blog posts are so... fascinating. Learnt a lot about you and it's quite intriguing. It's hard to imagine you being who you were back then. You're all nice and smiley now.

Maybe one day this wall will disintegrate. Maybe one day we'll really be friends, no barriers. Maybe you'll be able to talk to me... like how Binkai talks to me. Freely, without holding anything back.

kAiiZ ACVB#4 says (10:22 PM):
don't rape me
Karen says (10:22 PM):
who would ever want to rape you dude
kAiiZ ACVB#4 says (10:22 PM):

Karen Arts (Honours) says (10:23 PM):

kAiiZ ACVB#4 says (10:23 PM):

I guess I'll probably join Dance. I love SAJC's Dance and SA's dance instructor has taken over AC's previous instructor so I think I'm going to love AC's Dance too. But it's so contemporary. I suck at contemp. In fact I suck at dancing. Crescent's dance instructor is very unique and I can dance to his movements even though I can't dance. All we need to learn is how to contract our muscles at the right places at the right time and how to use our breathing to help us in our moves. But that's it. I'll look like an idiot in Contemporary.

I don't know. Maybe Track isn't a bad idea. I want to run, I don't know why.

People keep saying I look like a netballer.

A certain J2 Sciencer now has a bad impression of 1AH thanks to my lameness ):

kAiiZ ACVB#4 says (10:19 PM):
join vball for free leg waxing
my knee dive until no hair
Karen says (10:20 PM):
that'd be quite funny if it were just on one side
kAiiZ ACVB#4 says (10:20 PM):
it is -.-

Just let me do this one more time

And i find it kinda funny,

I find it kinda sad

That the dreams in which i'm dying

Are the best i've ever had

Karen is daydreaming

and in my little dream, you've taken an interest to me.
Wonder what you think about me.

I am a loaded gun
Ready to fire

Oldham Library

I'M IN 1AH!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
Arts (Honours). How cool does that sound? It's the best Arts class and I'm in it together with Geraldine & Amelia (Crescent Dancers!) and Sheena & Joey (OG!). 4 Crescentians in 1AH. Crescent FTW!

I like how at least some of our OG members stick together during our break time. Avinash never fails to crack us all up.

My timetable's screwed. I've got a 3.5h long break today. Next Thursday I've only got two lessons, and I've breaks from 7.30-11.10 and 11.50-1.50. And ELL is always quite late so even though I've got hours of breaks I still end school late. ):

Saw Ching Sheng after asssembly and told him that Sheena, Joey and I are in 1AH and he seemed really happy. Happened to see the OGLs during recess; they're all given a day off today because of the hard work they put in for Orientation. Feel so happy to be able to see them all! Met Guin for an hour plus during break time because she was also given a day off since she's in the Media Resource Crew. Yay seniors!
Guin!

Derrick and Jia Ying, my fellow JWPS 6b'05-ers in AC, are in the same class! Derrick and I were in the MRT today and Ching Sheng was in the same cabin as us lol. Then the two guys started talking as we walked to school. I'm still constantly amazed at others' communication skills. I'm such an introvert.

I'm in the school library now and I'm AMAZED. Wish I'd come here sooner. It's mega cool. Board games, loads of computers, little cubicles where people can watch TV... I'll take pictures. Yingyan's beside me now. She's in NJC but school ended early for her today. Just gave her my dance leotard and tights. Don't know what I'll do if I decide to join dance!

"No he doesn't! He looks a thousand times better!"

I don't want to be mean, but
"Oh no I look like some guy who's ugly and fat!"

AHAHA SHEENA AND TERYNE

Ching Sheng was on The Arena!

With this and something else I shan't mention, I'm pretty proud of my researching skills. Ooh, stalker me. *paedophilic grin*

ACJC ORIENTATION PHOTOS UP!!!!!

Sometimes I wish you'd do something, wish you'd start
And then one day you finally do and I get all happy. But then that little spark sets off fireworks of hope in my heart, irrational hope as bright as the Sun that only
Makes the world come crashing down on me when it all suddenly stops. For no reason.

My mind wants to kill my heart.

Helping Xiaoxuan edit her essay on Organisational Theory. Like, omg. I don't want to go to Uni anymore.

"If a glass bottle falls off a table and no one is there to hear the sound made by it falling, does it make a sound? According to the modernist, the answer will be yes because the glass bottle and the sound are real and can be measured. Thus, it does not matter if anyone is there to see the glass bottle falling and hear the sound created or not.(Hatch 2006)
To the symbolic-interpretivist there is no one right way in answering this question as no one is there to witness the falling of the glass bottle, even though they can study how different people make sense of this question. To the postmodernist the answer will most probably be a set of different questions: Who has the right to ask this question? Whose interests have been marginalized?(Hatch 2006)"

Ohemgeeee, so KI-ish. So cool. And I'm glad I didn't take KI, but this is cool.
Stupid symbolic-interpretivists and postmodernists, so extra. We're all nice, simple mordenists!

Happy Birthday Amelia!

I hope you don't see this yet, but..

LOVE YOU PAL!
Four years of true thick and thin together. Died together and basked in our Gold With Honours glory together, had more arguments than anything - the most painful and the longest too - but as you said on my autograph book, the arguments only helped us appreciate each other more. Remember our random but very long and deep, personal chats. It's nice how even though we don't meet or talk very often, we could open up to each other that much.
2006 (Clarke Quay for our group project!)
2007 (2c1 dancers!)
2008
2009!

As for 2010, upload your birthday photos! I can't blog about your birthday until you post the photos up!

LOVE YOU!

We'll stand together for the cause, of ACS Forever.

Ching Sheng happened to see me at the MRT station on the way to school, so we walked to ACJC together! Talked a lot; his ability to hold a conversation for fifteen minutes is cool, I've gotta acquire that skill. I take the MRT with Derrick every morning but he was talking to some other friend of his when Ching Sheng saw me so we went our separate ways.

Took considerably few pictures today - 83 only, HAHAHA - because it was sit-in-the-hall-and-have-talks-until-2.30pm day. We were all struggling to keep awake.
Sat beside Timothy for 5.5 hours of talks (including assembly and not counting recess and lunch time).

Earlier in the day Yanying had suggested we make a card for our OGLs so she got the coloured paper and I organised everything. Borrowed Shuzhen's pair of scissors and cut up the coloured paper into tiny squares and got everyone in Vetar to write little messages on them. During our lunch break we bought a big hard board and cut it up and pasted the messages on one side and coloured paper with their names on it on the other side. I had planned to use blue for cool Ching Sheng, yellow for cheerful Cheryl and red for zany Zayana but it all got mixed up in the end, but who cares lah. And it was only much later that I realised they were the school colours! HAHA COOL OR WHAT.
Zayana's was pretty!
We re-drew Ching Sheng's three times because Timothy's design was quite.... ugly. HAHA. We were like, "Ching Sheng's going to think we hate him!" In the end Beng Teong drew some cute thing.

After lunch and more talks, we went to Ching Sheng's house for our OG outing!
Doomsday? :O
This just looks cool. His apartment is pretty cool. Glass panels act as a partition for the kitchen, and there are string curtains! :O

Omgggg, Ching Sheng takes H1 Jap... and I bet Teryne is too. I want to learn Jap lahhh. I've stopped beginners' classes already and might start all over again at a different language school. I sound like such a loser, don't I?

We did Band Hero, some card game I totally didn't understand, and even Mahjong.
Timothy was being stupid. When he was the one singing, he chose to sing Evanescence's Bring Me To Life - we were all laughing like crap, Avinesh went "I can't hear you man, come on, belt it out!" - and Kung Fu Fighting.

Then we left and had hurriedly bought Macs for dinner and rushed back to school for Campfire!
I've no idea why they call it Campfire when it's nothing like one. In Crescent, when the weather's good we have an actual fire in the parade square and the classes sit around it; in my year when it was raining we sat around a miserable kerosene lamp in the hall, but at least they tried. In ACJC there wasn't even a lamp or a candle or an attempt to sit around. We just sat in the hall and played games, watched Dance and ACSian Theatre dance (I want to join either one!!!) etc.
99% of the pictures were blurry ):

By the way, the video of our Orientation period that the Media Resource Crew did for us took "9 days and a hard disk failure!" :O

guin says (1:44 PM):
we had to film the thing ourselves
and then edit ourselves
go through so many tapes
and on thursday we finished like 80%
but my hard drive which has like everything inside died
so we chionged everything on friday morning
do you know when campfire started we were still exporting the video
and all of us were like omg please dont hang please dont hang
i was gonna cry backstage cos at first the sound didnt work

...so treasure the video, peeps! And the video really was really awesome.

The free-dancing thing wasn't exactly the most enjoyable, but I still had high fun jumping and screaming. The song choices weren't exactly the best though. They should have seen Crescent's Grad Nite's song choices for the free-dancing. Everything was perfect.
Grad Nite '09 - crescentians taking over the dance floor!

During ACJC's free-dancing 95% of the people were choo-choo-train running around and countless idiots kept banging into me. At the end of it all I was dripping with sweat and my tee was soaked (partly with other people's sweat too because they kept banging into me).
OGLs with their cards!
Sheena and I decided to shout "3 cheers and 3 cheers and 3 cheers for VETAR!" and yay everyone followed! Starting cheers is cool.

After hanging around school for a while to cool down and cheer a little, Sheila, Timothy, Wesley, Joey, Beng Teong, Chris, Jayme and I went to The Daily Scoop for ice-cream!

I just realised how atrocious my writing skills seem in this post. Sorry, I always sound very ten-year-old-ish when I'm talking about an exciting day.

Feb 4, 2010

"Where's Wesley's girlfriend?" "Who?" "Timothy."

Orientation has officially ended but we're still supposed to move around in our OGs because we haven't been assigned to classes yet.

Had a PE talk. Before taking this shot, I had planned to take a picture of Avinash and Kester who were on the other side but I wasn't looking at the camera screen and ended up taking a picture of Avinash's crotch. (I deleted the photo.)

We also took our height and weight - I really hope there's something wrong with the weighing machine, because apparently I'm now 156cm and 43.8kg - 1cm shorter and almost 2kg heavier!!! - and I met my fellow 4S2A Dancers!

During our 11.30 - 12.30 break Wesley made us - Sheena, Sheila, Joey, Jayme, Cherry and I - howl in laughter when he was telling us about Timothy. Wesley says once he said he felt so hot he was going to become a fried something (I can't remember what), and then Timothy said "I wanna eat you up." AHAHAHAHA. That was epic.

And then Timothy came and we all decided to take pictures with him 'cos he was so funny. He didn't know what was going on. Neither did Ching Sheng when he came after his lessons and we asked the both of them to take a picture together simply because the rest of us had done it too.
When he put his arm around Wesley's shoulder we couldn't help laughing even harder.

Buff Kester doing pull-ups WITH ONE HAND. O:

Subject registration. 90% of my friends are taking 4H2 subjects and I seriously wanted to too. I mean, I qualify for it because my raw L1R5's less than 8 but I really don't want to take H2 Math.

So since I'm taking only 3H2s and H1 Math (which I should be able to score in), I've resolved to score As in everything. I mean, I doubt it'd be that hard. It's not like I'm taking crazy subjects like Physics / Bio / H2 Math. I'm taking Lit, ELL, Econs and H1 Math. I think I should be capable of scoring well. So that's my academic goal - straight As, just like my O level results.

After school had ended, ten of us from the OG went for lunch at Swensen's at Holland Village together! The others couldn't make it - and Kester went to the gym instead. D: !!!

It was really fun. The OG that Seng Jiaying and Amanda Khoo are in came to Swensen's for lunch too!

Wesley told us about his Chinese oral exams. During one of his oral exams his teacher actually asked him if he was from CL (Basic) and told him the CL (B) exams weren't on that day. Then he said that during his O Level Chinese oral exams he told the examiner some stupid rubbish about loving machines that could help the disabled and life-changing CIP experiences. He said the examiner actually teared! Joey refused to believe it.
"No! Stop exaggerating! That's just not possible!"

And then Jason had to leave and then Ching Sheng came!
Wesley had great difficulty ordering ice-cream in Chinese. Everyone was laughing at his atrocious command of the language, and I was laughing too - but only because that's exactly how I would have said it. -.-
We had 5 guys and 5 girls so we had an ice-cream eating competition! Each "group" ordered a Topless Five so each of us chose one topping. I think both Ching Sheng and I ordered Chewy Sticky Chocolate. Mmmmm, whenever I order ice-cream I order the chocolatiest flavour. Chewy Sticky Chocolate is awesome.

And then Wesley, Chris and Ching Sheng had to return to school and Sheena wanted to go and get her uniform at Orchard so the remaining six of us walked around aimlessly.
Nice right nice right, I totally have skill. HAHAHA.
Tim (to Beng Teong): I think that'll look damn pretty on you!

And then Joey and I wanted to take a bus to an MRT station to go home but didn't realise we took the bus on the wrong side of the road so we ended up going to Orchard.
Got my AC uniform (WHAT'S UP WITH THE MEGA LONG SKIRT, I FEEL LIKE A NUN!) and we chatted a lot.

-
Tomorrow we have a thousand pointless talks until 2.30 and then it's OG Outing time - bowling and chilling at Ching Sheng's house and dinner! - and then we have to be back in school by 6pm for Campfire. Wth, why are we given so little time for the outing? We all thought we'd be dismissed at 1.10 so that we'd have enough time for the outing. ): Why're we given so little time? Maybe we won't bowl. I wanna play Band Hero at Ching Sheng's house. :D

CAMPFIREEEEEEE!
