Monday and Tuesday: sleepover with Maddie and Jan. After vocal lesson we parted with Carmen and the three of us went to Maddie's house. Did a little bit of jogging and being stupid at the playground and then we went back. At 3am Janice tried to play River Flows in You on the piano, I tried learning my katakana and Maddie was playing Sims or something in her room upstairs. Funny how it doesn't matter what we're doing or whether we're interacting with one another or not as long as we know we're there. Woke up at like 1.45pm on Tuesday and Maddie and I went to Jurong East Swimming Complex after Janice had left to go to Haji Lane with Celeste.
Wednesday: Singapore Flyer with Jacey. Ended much later than expected and I got grounded from "going out with friends", and that included church camp with Annie that I paid $80 for.
Friday: Cell group. Prince of Peace.
Saturday: CANDLELIGHT SERVICE TEEHEE. Sat and chatted with Jeremy the Police Officer for a while and he told me about how he woke drunk people up and stopped fights and screamed at irritating drunkards at Clarke Quay from 3-5am.
Praise and Worship was AWESOME! Hyper hyper all the way and we all jumped enthusiastically during the chorus and all. W412 and N457, our awesome cell groups, were the enthu ones. Most of the people in the rows in front of and behind us weren't jumping, hahaha. Yay W412 & N457! Thank you Carmen and Shermin for making me feel comfortable in P&W (:
Pastor Kong's sermon was powerful. That's the word to describe it. And my heart really goes out to Janelle - who's four years old and has neuroblastoma cancer (thanks Olivia!). The tumor's so huge it wrapped around her lungs and liver. Thank God, about 90% of it has been removed already. She's going for her SIXTH chemotherapy session on Monday. Pastor says when he and his wife (Sun Ho) went to visit Janelle's family he had to excuse himself to go to the toilet to weep - filled with the Lord's compassion upon seeing such a frail child. And there's another girl, Christine, who's twenty-one and was a medical student at NUS before realising she was stricken with cancer. The pictures of her now are a stark contrast from the one of her when she was still healthy.
And we thought we had problems.
He also talked to us about another guy, Jian Xiong (or something), an athlete and an atheist. He fell terribly sick one day for no apparent reason, and slowly became bedridden. Then one day he just decided to read the Bible, and then he asked a friend to help take him to church, so he came to City Harvest. His friend asked Pastor Kong to pray for his healing and Pastor did. Nothing happened on that day, or the next day, but two days later Jian Xiong began to feel a little better. By the fifth day after going to CHC, he was totally fine. The scan that showed signs of tumors in his brain before declared that there was nothing wrong with him and no signs of tumors. Doctors were baffled. How about us Christians? That's nothing more than the miraculous work of our Creator.
I think that's the classic example of "Sometimes, God allows bad things to happen in our lives so that He can show us His miracles - if we let him."
Of course, the candle lights were awesome.
Okay, tomorrow Luhong and Olivia are joining me! With Jason, Daniel & Carmen & probably Maddie. Who else wants to? (Especially the other Dance juniors! Olivia's gonna feel really weird around two Sec 4 Dancers - Luhong's from Nan Hua Dance - so help her out a little, juniors!) Meet at 11.45am, Boon Lay MRT station.

DAD BOUGHT ME JJ'S NEW ALBUM!!!! I still haven't listened to it, believe it or not. I don't have that crazy urge anymore. But still, OH JJ LALALA
Mum bought me this really cool Zara TRF Collection vest-like uh thingy, and two pairs of shoes:
Levi's (to replace my dying checkered flats) and Etnies!
Oh yay yay yay.
But the Levi's gave me blisters on both feet by the time I reached the bus stop near my house -.-
